About Us

Ben Evans, Founder & President of IITA, began his work in very early stages 2006 in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. He continued to work with special education teachers (from Havelock North High School) and later, continued to progress and develop (at that time) Special Needs Taekwon-Do curriculum and core values. As the years continued Ben worked hard on the movement and took a student with a disability to the ITF World Championships in DPR Korea in 2011 to give a demonstration to get the world involved.

As time has continued, Ben’s work and organisation also continued to grow stronger. The goals and objectives have evolved from a small seed planted at Havelock North High School Special Needs Unit. Where Ben once felt he was doing a lot of good, over time, more and more ideas came to light and naturally, the goals and objectives of his organisation grew with him achieving more and more to help and support the communities involved and the ones growing alongside in different parts of New Zealand. Ben feels his name and idea, “Inclusive Taekwon-Do” has no limits to what it can and cannot achieve for the betterment of all involved and for the greater good of everyone to feel more empowered than ever.
